NATO unveils space project

February 16, 2023

(RT) ⸻ NATO has announced the "Alliance Persistent Surveillance from Space" (APSS) initiative, with 16 member nations likely to participate. It will create a constellation of government and private satellites to provide crucial assistance to NATO's military objectives and operations. NATO warns that Russia and China are making space "more congested and competitive" and that their counter-space technology could constrain Allies' access to, and freedom to operate in space. Russia has called NATO's space plan "incendiary in nature" and "in accordance with the destructive policies of NATO member nations headed by the United States."
