Brazil is criticised by the White House for the Ukraine

Brazilian President Lula's proposals on resolving the conflict between Moscow and Kiev are "simply misguided," Washington has said. He suggested that the status of Crimea should be up for discussion during talks, and offered to become a part of the group mediating a peaceful settlement. However, US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that Brazil is "parroting Russian and Chinese propaganda without at all looking at the facts." Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira rejected US claims that his country lacked understanding of the events in Ukraine.
