Taiwan strengthening military relations with Washington—president

(RT) ⸻ Taiwan has said it is improving military relations with the US, with President Tsai Ing-wen claiming that Taipei and Washington are working together to confront 'authoritarians' abroad. This follows reports that the Pentagon's top China official, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Michael Chase, traveled to Taiwan last week for high-level security talks. Chinese officials have condemned Chase's visit, but Democratic Representative Ro Khanna argued that the trip is in no way provocative of China.
