(BBC) ⸻ A Chinese apology was noted, but described the balloon as a clear violation of sovereignty and international law. Another trip by Mr Blinken to China would be planned "at the earliest opportunity". The balloon flew over Alaska, Canada and the US state of Montana before landing in Kansas on Friday. Military officials say it poses no physical or military threat to people on the ground.
