The Egyptian Armed Forces say that they will be withdrawing their soldiers from Sudan.

The Egyptian Armed Forces released a statement this morning confirming that all Egyptian troops who returned to the homeland or those who are at the Egyptian embassy in Khartoum are well and in good health. On Wednesday 19 April, three transport planes from the Egyptian Armed Forces landed in an airbase in Sudan to evacuate the troops. On Thursday 20 April, the secure arrival of all remaining Egyptian troops to the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt was accomplished in coordination with concerned Sudanese parties and friendly and brotherly countries as well as the International Committee of the Red Cross. The statement concluded that all Egyptian troops who returned to the homeland or those who are at the Egyptian embassy in Khartoum are well and in good health.
