The Palestinian Presidency Spokesman, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, warned that Israel is "playing with fire" following its attacks on Bab Al-Rahma prayer area, an integral part of Al-Aqsa Mosque. He said that the extremist Israeli government is looking for ways to escalate the situation and is responsible for these dangerous policies. On Wednesday, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir stormed the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Palestinian city of Al-Khalil (Hebron) to celebrate their so-called Israeli Independence Day. The Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in the Palestinian Authority, Hatem Al-Bakri, denounced Ben Gvir's "break-in" into the Mosque as a "flagrant violation of the holy places and places of worship". He said that the occupation forces allowed them to raise the Israeli flag and candlesticks and launch firecrackers and fireworks on the roof of the Mosque and in its outer squares.
