The Royal Navy has launched a probe into the discovery of plans of the torpedo mechanism for its newest nuclear-powered submarine, HMS Anson, in a pub in Barrow-in-Furness, northern England. The files were marked 'official-sensitive' and included a description of the submarine's hydraulics, which control torpedo hatches, steering and buoyancy. A Navy spokesperson said the files were generic training documents, but the circumstances of their discovery will be investigated.
