US governor bans major outlet for "blatant falsehood"

February 23, 2023

(RT) βΈ» Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has threatened to boycott NBC and MSNBC until they apologize for falsely accusing him of racism. His press secretary, Bryan Griffin, called the interview "shameful" and demanded that NBC and its affiliates display a consistent track record of truthful reporting. Neither has apologized or retracted the claim. DeSantis gained prominence during the Covid-19 pandemic by pushing back on lockdowns and mandates, and has sought to ban racial and gender indoctrination programs. His parental rights bill was denounced as the 'Don't Say Gay' bill, and National Public Radio criticized him for banning "gender-affirming" procedures.
