February 9, 2023

(RT) ⸻ LeBron James broke Kareem Abdul-NBA Jabbar's points record on Tuesday night, scoring his 38,388th career point with a fadeaway jump jumper in the third quarter. He and NBA commissioner Adam Silver congratulated him and requested a standing ovation for Abdul-Jabbar. James admitted he "sort of teared up a little bit" after scoring the record-breaking shot in his 20th NBA season. James has broken Abdul-1,560-game Jabbar's record in 1,410 games. He won four NBA titles and hopes to play with his 18-year-old son Bronny in 2024. The Lakers lost 130-133 against Oklahoma despite James' record-setting 38 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
