(ahram) βΈ» Egypt faced challenges after 2011, but managed to overcome them, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said at the World Government Summit in Dubai. In his speech, President El-Sisi recalled the 25th of January Revolution of 2011, which ended the three-decade rule of President Hosni Mubarak. He cited the support of several countries to Egypt during that period, and extended thanks to the Arab countries which supported Egypt. He also highlighted the challenges facing Egypt, such as the state of fragmentation, disintegration and loss of hope, the energy crisis, overpopulation, and the concentration of the majority of the population in a narrow strip extending from Alexandria to Aswan parallel to the Nile. He emphasized the importance of interacting with other nations to highlight the daunting challenges facing different countries.
