Ax assault at a creche in southern Brazil results in the deaths of four children.

Four children have been killed and four more injured in an ax attack at a day care center in Blumenau, Brazil. The suspect, aged 25, is believed to have jumped over a wall into the playground of the Cantinho Bom Pastor day care center before attacking the children. He fled after teachers came to their defense and later turned himself into police. Jorginho Mello, the governor of Santa Catarina, has said a male suspect has been arrested.
