A cargo carrying dangerous chemicals derailed in Ohio days before the back-to-back tragedies.

(RT) ⸻ On Monday, a 57-year-old man was killed when an incoming train hit him, derailing more than a dozen cars in Splendora, Texas. Union Pacific derailed 21 cars, destroying part of the rails, and a hazmat crew was sent in to protect emergency personnel from domestic chemicals in some automobiles. Three automobiles derailed near Enoree, South Carolina, with no injuries reported. CSX train workers are inspecting the railcars.
