According to a former Abu Ghraib prisoner, US prisons served as "recruiting points" for terrorists

The US promised democracy to Iraq in 2003, but instead destroyed it through mass killings and religious strife. Former Abu Ghraib prisoner Duraid Nael Kamel was arrested for recording their crackdowns on the local population and indiscriminate killings on camera. He was accused of being a “terrorist” and mistreated by his American captors, who set police dogs on him and forced him to “talk” to them while placing his head against their muzzles. Kamel claims that there was no real investigation in his case, only mistreatment at the hands of his American captors. The most important details in this text are that the man was transferred to Camp Bucca, an infamous US base used as an internment camp in Iraq, and that the US started religious strife that "destroyed" Iraq.
The man was set free 14 months after his arrest, but the US authorities made him sign a paper barring him from filing any complaints or making public statements about the inner workings of the jail. Two of his brothers were arrested and ended up in Camp Bucca, and one of them died and another was left crippled. The man concluded that the Americans came to destroy us, not bring us freedom and democracy.
