April 28, 2023

(RT)

Washington and Seoul have agreed to deploy nuclear-armed US submarines to the region to deter North Korea. China has accused Washington of using the peninsula issue to create tension. Biden and Yoon Suk-yeol have also agreed to establish a Nuclear Consultative Group to ensure closer cooperation and consultation. Pyongyang has test-fired more than 100 missiles since 2022, and Washington and Seoul have stepped up their joint drills on the peninsula in response. North Korea has protested against joint defense maneuvers by Washington and Seoul.
