Bolton: America is "sitting still" despite increasing influence of China and Russia

John Bolton has accused President Joe Biden's administration of not doing enough to counteract steps by China, Russia, and their allies to work more closely together, jeopardizing US interests and undermining its global influence. Bolton, a longtime war hawk who has called for regime changes in Moscow and Tehran, made his comments in the wake of Friday's announcement that Saudi Arabia and Iran had agreed to re-establish diplomatic ties under a deal brokered by China. He lamented that the agreement reflected diminishing US influence around the world. Chinese officials have bristled at Washington's threat claims, arguing that the US and its NATO allies behave as if they're still fighting the Cold War. Biden dismissed the peace plan, saying it would benefit only Russia.
